Q. Does it cost anything to be a member?
A. No, membership is free.
Q. How does the Commission Rebate Program work?
A. All you have to do is name Bay Area Forex Group as your Referring Broker either when you originally open your live account, or, if you already have a live account, just let your broker know you want to switch to Bay Area Forex Group as your Referring Broker. Once you do that, fill-out the application form and return it to us – that’s it!
Q. How much will my rebate be?
A. 50% of the commission we receive from the broker will be rebated directly to you. Commissions from each broker vary, but average 1 pip per lot traded.
Q. How and when do I receive my rebate?
A. We process Commission Rebate checks about the 20th of each month for the previous month's commissions, then mail them first class US postage.
Q. Does it cost me anything to list Bay Area Forex Group as my Referring Broker?
A. No, the brokers charge the same spread whether or not you list Bay Area Forex Group as your Referring Broker. This is money you are paying either way; we simply share it with you.
Q. How long / how much effort does it take on my part to fill out the Referring Broker application and join Bay Area Forex Group?
A. Depending on your Broker, it takes 5 to 15 minutes to fill out their form, send it in and provide us with your information.
Q. Do you, can you, will you sell my information to anyone?
A. No, absolutely not.
Q. To be a member do I have to live in or near the Bay Area (San Francisco)?
A. No, we started in the bay area in 2003 as a small group of traders who got together to share ideas. We have grown to what we are today because of the Internet. Originally, all of our presentations were held in small conference rooms but are now recorded, streamed and archived for our members to view and review as many times as they would like.
Q. What Brokers do you currently support?
A. FXCM and EFX. We are open to adding to this list if you have a broker that you are highly satisfied with, just let us know.
Q. I’m learning to trade but only have a demo account; can I still be a member?
A. Yes.
Q. What is in your database of strategies and tutorials?
A. 25+ trading strategies that our members have come up with and believe are productive. 10+ tutorials from some of the top trainers in the industry. Our collection is constantly growing.
Q. What is the common resources page?
A. We have taken all the information, web links, news links and everything else our traders use on a daily basis and created an easy to use page so you can quickly do your set up and get to trading much faster. If you would like something added to that, we would be glad to do so; this is for you.
